It Cosmetics Vitality Face Disc Review

20140717_145313

Hi guys thanks for coming back to my blog.

So I promised a review of the It Cosmetics Live, Love, Laugh Vitality Face Disc with Drops of Light Technology and I must say for the most part it really works for me.  I picked mine up from QVC which is my favorite place to get It Cosmetics, many of the products offered by QVC have a brush included for just an extra $10.00 or so where if you get it on the It Cosmetics web site or Ulta they will not have the brush offer.  The brush that came with mine was the  Jumbo Heavenly Luxe Mega-Brush which if purchased alone on QVC or the It Cosmetics website, would be $58.00.  On QVC I paid $48.50 for the disk and brush, the disk alone is $38.00.  I have never had good customer service in Ulta and you can’t get It Cosmetics at Sephora.  QVC has a great return policy as well as easy pay options on a few products, unfortunately easy pay isn’t currently offered on this product right now.

Vertical flipThe bronzer in this palette is a matte finish.  I find it is darker and less orange than say NYC’s Sunny and a touch darker than Two Faced Chocolate Soleil with the same neutral undertones.  The bronzer doesn't come off orange at all on my skin tone.  It leaves a natural shadow when I use it to contour and it blends out with ease.

The blush is a cool pink with a hint of coral with a slight shimmer, however the shimmer doesn't come off on the cheeks leaving a more satin finish over shimmer.  It also blends very easily and gives a natural pinched or light burn look.  I use this blush often, it goes very well with my tan lending itself to the slightly pink cheek that I would have after a little to long in the sun.

The highlight in this trio is a champagne shimmer and can look very disco ball if you don’t use a light hand.  This also blends out beautifully but I think it has a less natural look unlike the other products in this palette.  I wish it was a little more of a natural highlight rather than the heavy iridescence that comes off on the skin, you can easily overdue it so start light, better to add than take away.  It will blend easily but you end up with to much highlight in places you didn’t intend for it to be.

The palette is my favorite product to use right now for contour and blush.  I find I’m reaching for this bronzer over my Soleil Tan De Chanel, which was my favorite last month and my Two Faced Chocolate Soleil.  The entire palette is finely milled and as I said before is so easy to blend out to a natural finish, with the exception of the highlight.  I find myself reaching for my Hourglass Ambient lighting palette over the included highlighter, it’s my favorite for highlight, I love it and want to use it everyday if possible, it’s just a beautiful finish to any look.  It Cosmetics is a cruelty free company and their products have things included in them that are said to be good for your skin. According to their website this product includes anti-aging ingredients hydrating ingredients, including hydrolyzed collagen, acai, green tea, and vitamins A, C, and E. Talc, paraben, sulfate, mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, and phthalate free. Hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenicAlthough it’s disappointing to see parabens and sulfates it’s not something that keeps me away.  One last thing, it doesn't settle into fine lines!  That is becoming a huge thing for me.  I didn't realize how bad that does look until I tried a very cheap blush, Horrifying!

Thanks for reading!  I’m working on part 3 of my “On The Daily” series.  This will be the final installment and it will cover concealer, contour, blush and finishing powder.  I wish you all the best and thanks again for stopping by.

Much Love and God Bless,
